We seem to give them back to You, O God,
Who gave them to us.
Yet, as You did not lose them in giving so we do not lose them by their return.
Life is eternal and love immortal and death is only a horizon,
and a horizon is nothing except the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, strong Son of God, that we may see further;
cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly;
draw us closer to Yourself that we may know ourselves
to be nearer to our loved ones who are with You.

O Jesus,
Son of God and Son of Mary,
your Sacred Heart is
an ocean of mercy , of goodness,
of love toward all
but especially for the poor
and needy.
You were born in poverty.
You labored with your own
hands, you sanctified
toil by choosing it for your own life.
O Loving Heart of Jesus please
hear my prayer for
employment and in your
Mother's name grant
my request. Amen.

I kneel before Your holy image,
O most gracious Infant Jesus,
to offer You my fervent thanks
for the blessings You have
bestowed on me. I shall incessantly
praise Your ineffable mercy and
confess that You alone are my God,
my helper and my protector.
Henceforth my entire confidence shall
be placed in You! Everywhere
I will proclaim aloud Your mercy
and generosity, so that Your great
love and the great deeds which
You perform through this miraculous
image may be acknowledged by all.
May devotion to Your holy infancy
increase more and more in the
hearts of all Christians, and may all
who experience Your assistance
persevere with me in showing unceasing gratitude to Your holy infancy,
to which be praise and glory forever. Amen.

LoGod of all goodness,
You have entrusted us with the
gift of life. Help us to appreciate
that gift from the first moments of
conception to the last breaths of
old age. Send your strength to all
those who defend the unborn, the
weak, and the dying against
attempts to cut short their lives.
May your Holy Spirit touch the
hearts of those who are tempted to
choose the way of death rather
than life. Grant that your people
may always be a sign of your
love in the world. Amen.

Lord, You invite all
who are burdened to come to You.
Allow Your healing hand to heal me.
Touch my soul with Your
compassion for others.
Touch my heart with
Your courage and infinite love for all.

Touch my mind with Your
wisdom, and may my
mouth always proclaim Your
praise.

Teach me to reach out to You in
my need, and help me to lead
others to You by my example.
Most loving Heart of Jesus,
bring me health in body and
spirit that I may serve You
with all my strength.
Touch gently this life
which You have created,
now and forever. Amen.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness joy.

Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.

For it is giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Inviting God,
we yearn for life and
desire to see good
days, but find it difficult to
recognize you and listen
to your voice. Awaken
our hearts to your presence
in the people and circumstances
that we meet each day. May
we take time to listen to
your presence within us.
Bless women and men with
the grace to listen to your
invitation and the courage
to commit themselves to
seeking and serving you in
the Franciscan way of life. May
they together with us, witness
to your presence in the world.
